This metric is intended to capture the amount of waste disposed safely by the organization during the reporting period. Organizations may consult local, national, and international regulations and guidelines on the disposal of waste to ensure safety measures are incorporated and implemented.

In some contexts, this metric can serve as an indicator of whether the outcome being sought by an investor or organization is occurring (the WHAT dimension of impact).
