Number of occupational injuries which affected any full-time, part-time, and temporary employees of the organization during the reporting period.
Number of occupational injuries which affected any full-time, part-time, and temporary employees of the organization during the reporting period.
Organizations should footnote the types of occupational injuries and mitigation actions going forward.
This metric is intended to capture the number of work-related injuries arising from exposure to hazards at work. If the same employee experienced more than one occupational injury, each instance of injury should be counted separately. That is, an individual injured twice during the reporting period would count as two injuries.
This metric is sourced from GRI Disclosure 403-10: Work-related Ill Health. Work-related injuries and ill health are those that arise from exposure to hazards at work. Other types of incidents can occur that are not connected with the work itself. For more guidance, see GRI Disclosure 403-10 (https://www.globalreporting.org/standards/media/1910/gri-403-occupational-health-and-safety-2018.pdf).
Metrics identified as "cross-category" are those that are relevant to any IRIS+ Impact Category or Impact Theme (i.e., these metrics are not specific to any particular industry/category or theme).
