Usage Guidance

This metric is intended to capture the number of work-related injuries arising from exposure to hazards at work. If the same employee experienced more than one occupational injury, each instance of injury should be counted separately. That is, an individual injured twice during the reporting period would count as two injuries.

This metric is sourced from GRI Disclosure 403-10: Work-related Ill Health. Work-related injuries and ill health are those that arise from exposure to hazards at work. Other types of incidents can occur that are not connected with the work itself.
